Ene Katrine Rasmussen

Head of Creative Europe Desk Denmark

Ene Katrine Rasmussen holds a Master degree in film studies from Copenhagen University. She has worked with new talent at a local community TV-station and in The Danish Film Workshop.  She has worked for educational TV production at DR TV and with international sales for TV2 . She’s an EAVE graduate from 1997. Since February 2009 she has worked as head of the Danish MEDIA Desk advising producers on MEDIA funding, doing information work and organizing seminars. Parallel to this she has participated in several MEDIA supported training programs and has a broad European network. She’s heading the part of the Danish Creative Europe Desk that informs the audiovisual sector via the MEDIA sub programme. She is based at the Danish Film Institute and is part of the International department.. She has a broad international network within the audiovisual sector.

 

 

Helle Faber
Producer, Made in Copenhagen

Graduated as a journalist in 2001. Producer since 2003 and founder of the Danish production company made in copenhagen in 2010.

Has produced a large number of documentary films for the international marked. Among them the award winning films Lost Warrrior, The Stranger, Motleys’ Law, Warriors from the North, Putin’s Kiss, Dark Side of Chocolate and Enemies of Happiness. made in copenhagen works with some of the strongest documentary talents in Denmark – and abroad. As a producer Faber has won a huge number of awards at IDFA, Sundance FF, Hotdocs, Berlin FF, DOC NYC and many others.

 

 

Emile Hertling Péronard

Producer, Ánorâk Film

EMILE HERTLING PÉRONARD – producer Ánorâk Film (DENMARK/GREENLAND)

Born in Copenhagen in 1979, but grew up in Nuuk, Greenland. Co-Owner of production companies in both Copenhagen and Nuuk, Emile Hertling Péronard aims at building a bridge between Europe and the Arctic, producing and distributing authentic stories in a Greenlandic context for international audiences. Previous productions include SUMÉ – The Sound of a Revolution, Lykkelænder, Winter’s Yearning and Aquarela. Through his involvement in the Greenlandic filmmakers association, FILM.GL, Emile Hertling Péronard is also highly active in promoting Greenlandic film content internationally, setting up talent development initiatives for Greenlandic filmmakers, as well as improving general conditions for film production in the Arctic.

Milos Ivanovic

DokSrbija

Milos Ivanovic paved his way to film industry by producing trans-media project Radiovision (2015), co-produced with Serbian national television. This led him to producing short films with successful festival distribution: Of Slaves and Robots was selected for Annecy IAFF and Animafest Zagreb in 2016 and Dos Patrias was screened as part of ACID program at Cannes film festival 2017.

In 2018, he co-produced a feature film Bandits in search of Mom, that received wide national and regional recognition. His first fiction feature Love Cuts won two awards at Evolution! Mallorca IFF 2019.

Speak so I can see you, a feature documentary he produced premiered at IDFA 2019 and was recently screened as part of MoMA DocFornigth 2020.

He is a minority co-producer of two films currently in post-production, “Snow and the Bear”, a Turkish-German-Serbian co-production backed by Eurimages and “Nun of your business”, a Croatian-Serbian-Slovenian film, recipient of MEDIA support

He is member of DOKSerbia association and producer of Days of Slovenian film in Belgrade and one of the founders of production company Set Sail Films.

 

 

Martička Božilova

Sabina Đogić

Documentary Collective Slovenia

Sabina Đogić is a Bosnian- Slovenian cinematographer, film director and producer, currently based in Slovenia.
She studied Philosophy and Cultural sociology at Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia until she enrolled to Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, Argentina to study Cinematography and later on, to IDEC Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (Spain) for Master of creative documentary under menthorship of: Marta Andreu, Marie-PierreDuhamel, Sergey Dvortsevoy, Luciano Barisone, Viktor Kossakovsky, Marcel Lozinski, Luciano Rigolini. During and after her film studies, she worked on several short and feature films as well as commercials in Argentina, Spain, Russia, Slovenia and Brazil, as a cinematographer (short and documentary films), still photographer (feature films), production assistant (documentary films) and assistant director (commercials).
With the support of production companies from Slovenia and due to austerity politics that struck film production in Slovenia, she filmed her first, and up to date, her last feature length film Kaj ti je film (What is (with) cinema, 2013) in which twenty renowned filmmakers discuss the art of filmmaking and reasons behind their choice to become a filmmaker. Currently she is developing two documentary films, and editing a short fiction film.
She is a member of Directors Guild of Slovenia, Documentary Creative Collective of Slovenia and AIPA.

Hanka Kastelicova

VP & Executive Producer, HBO Europe

Hanka Kastelicová is the VP and Executive Producer of Documentaries for HBO Europe. Based in the Prague office, she works closely with HBO Europe’s production centers and is responsible for the development and production of HBO Europe’s documentary films. She commissions and co-produces documentary programming for HBO Europe, focusing on feature length productions, which should have a strong connection with the countries where HBO Europe broadcasts. The documentaries she co-produces are giving strong insights into its subject, creating debates, showing a different perspective, and are daring, creative and innovative. HBO documentaries are mainly character driven stories with a strong narrative and high production values. That is why many of films she co-produces are very successful worldwide and have won many awards in international festivals.

 

 

Nataliya Arshavskaya

Commissioning Editor, Current Time TV

Natalia Arshavskaya was invited to join Current Time TV in August 2016. Arshavskaya oversees selection and acquisition of the best international documentaries for the Realnoye Kino (Real Cinema) strand of Current Time TV, which aims to make the world of documentaries more familiar to Russian-speaking audiences. Since 2017 Natalia is also a Commissioning Editor of the channel with 14 films commissioned so far. Among them multi-award winning Putin’s Witnesses by Vitaly Manski and highly anticipated State Funeral by Sergei Loznitsa, films by prominent first- and second-time filmmakers such as Alisa Kovalenko’s Home Games and Heat Singers by Nadia Parfan. These and others are active participants of international film festivals.

 

 

Choy Lin Mok

Comissioning Editor, TRT World

Choy Lin Mok, an alumnus of Cambridge University and John Hopkins University, has over 20 years of experience in international broadcasting. She is an experienced documentary Commissioning Editor, Executive Producer and Series Producer. Choy Lin has held senior management positions at renowned global and regional television networks. She was Director of Regional Production at National Geographic Channel from 2001 to 2011 and Vice-President of International Production at Channel NewsAsia from 2011 to 2017. Choy Lin is currently Commissioning Editor for TRT World, based in Istanbul. TRT World is the English language news channel of Turkey’s national broadcaster, reaching over 260 million viewers worldwide.

 

 

Lefteris Flyaktos

Programming ERT – Greek Public Broadcasting

Lefteris Fylaktos is a documentary filmmaker living in Athens, Greece and currently the HoD of Culture, Education & Children’s Programming for ERT – the Greek Public Broadcasting Corporation. He is also the National Coordinator for INPUT – International Public TV Organization – Greece.

He has been active since 1997 in the conception and production of audio-visual content as Television Director, Independent Documentary Filmmaker and Freelance Director/Producer. His expertise includes award-winning documentaries and video projects for public, private and international organizations. Additionally, he has experience in cross-media projects and web-documentaries working for the Korsakow Institut in Berlin and has served as jury and delegate for media organizations such as INPUT, Prix-Europa, the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, the Balkan Documentary Center, i.a. With an academic background in Visual Anthropology, since 2017 he teaches a Documentary Arts & Anthropology Workshop in Ethnographic Filmmaking at the University of Münster in Germany.

Erol Bilibani
Kosovo

Eroll Bilibani is a photographer and film producer, he develops educational programs in which cinema and storytelling are the means to a greater understanding of complex questions and the promotion of social development. Through DokuLab he curates education film projects for youth, which are distributed via DokuFest’s Traveling Solar Cinema. He was the executive producer of Daniel Mulloy’s BAFTA winning short Home (2016) and a producer of Samir Karahoda’s short documentary In Between (2019) shown at Berlinale 2019 and is the 2020 EFA award candidate.

 

Atanas Georgiev

Macedonia

Producer, Director, Editor.

One of the owners of Trice Films and Film Trick from Macedonia, subsidiaries of FX3X. His directorial and producing debut Cash & Marry has won many international awards and recognition. This was followed by Avec l’amour which was a festival favorite in 2017 premiering at HOTDOCS, and right after that with Honeyland in 2019, a triple winner at Sundace Film Festival and Nominated for 2 Academy Awards, Best Documentary and Best International Feature for 2020.

Anamaria Antoci

Romania

With a background in choreography and cultural management, Anamaria Antoci stepped into the film industry in 2012. Her first feature was Adrian Sitaru‘s ILLEGITIMATE (2016, Berlinale Forum – C.I.C.A.E. Award), an independent production that brought her a GOPO Award for Best Newcomer in the Romanian film industry. Her filmography includes a wide range of shorts, features and documentaries, one of the latest titles – MALMKROG by Cristi Puiu, for which she served as delegate producer, opened the Encounters section of Berlinale 2020. Currently she is working on financing the new films by Andrei Ujică and Adrian Sitaru, while developing her first drama series project.

Anamaria is active on the European market, being part of the most important industry networks like EAVE Producers Workshop, EFP’s Cannes Producers on the Move, ACE Producers, Emerging Producers, and since 2016 she is a member of the European Film Academy.

In 2017 Anamaria founded her own company, Bucharest based Tangaj Production, putting together a strong slate of arthouse films by fresh, talented Romanian voices and newly discovered ones outside the borders, and stepping into high-quality production services.

Selin Murat
Turkey, Canada

The Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM) is one of North America’s leading documentary film festivals. Each year, the RIDM presents more than 100 Canadian and international documentaries. Its industry event, Forum RIDM, is Quebec’s only documentary forum. Selin is the Forum RIDM’s director of programming and programs films for the festival.

Wouter Jansen

Square Eyes- Sales & Festivals

Wouter Jansen is the owner of the sales and festival distribution company Square Eyes. He worked as the head of programming at the Go Short – International Film Festival during the first 10 editions. In 2013 he started Some Shorts, which changed to Square Eyes in 2019, which specializes in having outstanding non-mainstream films find the audience and recognition they deserve. With Square Eyes, Wouter represents bold, author-driven features and shorts, and collaborates closely with the filmmakers to devise bespoke festival distribution and sales strategies. This has resulted in a small catalogue of films premiering at prestigious festivals and winning multiple awards over the last few years like main prizes at Cannes, TIFF, Berlin, Locarno and Clermont-Ferrand.

Wouter has been giving lectures at schools like Le Fresnoy, HEAD Geneva and Netherlands Film Academy as well as moderating and leading workshops at festivals like IDFA, Locarno, True/False, Winterthur, VIS Vienna Shorts and others. He is a Berlinale Talents alumni.

 


FILM FESTIVALS

Buse Yildirim, Kundura Cinema (Turkey)

Buse, a cultural entrepreneur, curator and filmmaker based in Istanbul. As she has visual art practise background and profound interest in art theory, she pursued a BA degree in History of Art at Goldsmiths University of London. After she found her material in filmmaking, she got a second BA degree in documentary filmmaking at ESEC. Meanwhile, she has been playing an essential role during the construction of artistic and cultural identity of Beykoz Kundura, the significant industrial heritage in Istanbul, where today she is in charge of artistic & cultural management of Kundura Stage and Cinema. Recently she has done a MA degree on Visual and Media Anthropology at Freie Universität in Berlin, Buse also practises her own audio-visual ethnographic projects in “Lita”, a house of production that she founded.

Adele Kohout, DOK.fest München (Germany)

Deputy managing director, programme selection

Born in Prague in 1981, Adele studied New History and Art History with a focus on film at the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf and at the University of Zurich. During her studies she worked as an assistant director for Czech television for long and series formats in 2004 and 2005. 2008 Assistant in project management at Stein Promotion and Master study of cultural history and cultural management in Ludwigsburg. From 2008 to 2010 she was in charge of public relations at DOK.fest. She became assistant to the festival management in 2010 and took on tasks in the areas of financing and project coordination. She has been a permanent member of the programme committee since 2010 and has also been responsible for sponsoring and partner communication since 2012. From 2015 to 2017, she headed the office of the Kunstareal München and has been deputy managing director of DOK.fest München since 2016.

Elena Subirà I Roca, DocsBarcelona

Head of Institutional and International Relations, and Fundraising

Elena Subirà i Roca has a degree in Humanities and Journalism and for 17 years she has been part of the team at DOCSBARCELONA, where she is currently head of Institutional and International Relations, and Fundraising. She was previously general manager for the project, head of communications and marketing, and supervisor of its expansion process in Latin America (Colombia and Chile).

She has been a member of the European Film Academy and the documentary pre-selection committee for the European Film Awards since 2018. She’s a member of the board of directors of the Association Catalunya Film Festivals, and coordinator and lecturer of the Promotion Module part of the Master in Audiovisual Executive Production at Ramon Llull – Blanquerna University.

She has been a member of the committee for Selective Support for Feature Films from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the committee for Festival Grants from the Institute of Balearic Studies, and the committee for the Evaluation of Non-Fiction Works from Laboral Cineteca in Asturias, as well as the ICEC’s committee for TV and Project Development Grants.
She has been a member of the Executive Committee of Barcelona City Council’s Culture council (2012 – 2015), and a juror at numerous national and international film festivals.

Christine Camdessus, FIPADOC

Festival Director, Producer

After being a lawyer-in-firm and a film finance banker, Christine launched her production company in 2001: ALEGRIA PRODUCTIONS. Among more than 60 creative documentaries, distributed in most of the world: Pakistan Zindabad, The Lost war of the Vatican?, Five Broken Cameras by Emad Burnat and Guy Davidi (Sundance director’s price 2012, Oscar Nomination 2013, International Emmy Award 2013), Divided Korea, The Wonderful Kingdom of Papa Alaev , Erdogan, the making of a sultan, One day in Tehran and Forman versus Forman selected in Cannes Classics in May 2019. Christine is chairwoman of NIPKOW’s jury (Berlin). She has been vice-president of USPA (leading TV producers union in France) from 2014 to 2018. In June 2018, Christine has been nominated Managing & Artistic director of FIPADOC.

Vuk Perovic, Underhill Festival (Montenegro)

Co-founder and art director of UnderhillFest, festival of feature lenght documentaries with strong social impact, organized by NGO Crnogorski filmski festival. Part of Underhillfest are programs like Docuschool, documentary film school for high school kids and In Focus, dedicated to women issues in modern society. CFF is also distributor of european films. Editor of film and series program on Public service RTCG. Author of TV show about film “The Seventh Continent”. Member of juries on various film festivals (Los Angeles, Bratislava,Belgrade, Herceg Novi…). Member of FEDEORA  (Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean) and FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics).
