Submission to the Festival is open to creative documentary films of all running times, topics, style and production technologies completed and/or publicly screened after 1 January 2019.

The submission to the festival and entry fee are divided by the following categories and deadlines:

Earlybird Deadline –till February 21

• 17 $ fee for the Main Competitive Program (Onion Award)
• 12 $ fee for the Newcomers Competitive Program (Young Onion Award)
• 7 $ fee for the Competitive Program of short creative documentary films (Sliced Onion Award)
• 5 $ fee for the Student Films (all films with the credit/logotype of Film Schools are eligible in this category)

Regular Deadline – till April 15

• 25 $ fee for the Main Competitive Program (Onion Award)
• 20 $ fee for the Newcomers Competitive Program (Young Onion Award)
• 15 $ fee for the Competitive Program of short creative documentary films (Sliced Onion Award)
• 10 $ fee for the Student Films (all films with the credit/logotype of Film Schools are eligible in this category)

Late Deadline – till May 15

• 30 $ fee for the Main Competitive Program (Onion Award)
• 25 $ fee for the Newcomers Competitive Program (Young Onion Award)
• 20 $ fee for the Competitive Program of short creative documentary films (Sliced Onion Award)
• 15 $ fee for the Student Films (all films with the credit/logotype of Film Schools are eligible in this category)
