MakeCoProDox Forum is a forum whose main goal is to develop a strategy plan to increase documentary film co-production between the Balkan countries. The Forum welcomes representatives from the regional film centers, documentary film professionals and 10 projects in different stages of production. 

The 6th edition of the MakeCoProDox Forum will take place during the 15th edition of the MakeDox Creative Documentary Film Festival.

Dates & place: 19-21 August 2024, Skopje

Who can apply: Documentary filmmakers with creative documentary projects produced, co-produced or shot in the Balkans (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey).

*Please note that we do not require that the film story is set in the region.

It is possible to apply with a film project with the following main requirements: 

– feature length creative documentary; 

– development, production or post-production stage; 

– to be shot, produced or co-produced in the region.

The mentoring part consists of:

1. First group session (online; end of July; exact date tbc)
2. Two mentorship sessions (online; beginning of August; exact dates tbc)
3. Pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings (Skopje, 19-20 August)

Availability & access:

All sessions will be conducted in English. Unless in public events, the program doesn’t provide an individual translator for non-English speaking participants.

Filmmakers of selected projects should travel to Skopje to pitch their project.

Selection & results:

The selection of the submitted projects will be carried out by an Evaluation Committee taking into account the eligibility requirements; the evaluation results will be announced by email and on the website no later than July 15th.
